Melita was born and raised in Bundaberg, Queensland. She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from Central Queensland University. She has gained experience in private practice, enjoying its unique connection with the community. Melita has a strong interest in strength and conditioning, group exercise classes such as Pilates, and sports coverage. She enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and has a special interest in exercise prescription, rehabilitation, and vestibular physiotherapy. What truly inspired her, though, was her own journey as a patient - after spending years without a diagnosis and undergoing three complex knee surgeries, she knows firsthand how frustrating it can be to feel unheard. That experience gave her a strong passion for ensuring her patients receive an accurate diagnosis, appropriate investigations when needed, and early intervention to give them the best chance of avoiding surgery where possible.
