Triple Titled — rare in Australia

One of the only physiotherapists in Australia to hold three APA titles simultaneously — Musculoskeletal, Sports & Exercise, and Occupational Health. Two postgraduate Masters degrees from The University of Queensland.

Sam is a highly experienced Principal Physiotherapist and co-founder of IntegratePHYSIO, with over 18 years of clinical expertise across private practice, elite sport, and rehabilitative care. His triple APA titling places him among an exceptionally rare group of physiotherapists in the country.

He completed his physiotherapy degree at RGUHS (2006), followed by a Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (UQ, 2017) and a Master of Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy (UQ) — a combination held by fewer than a handful of practitioners in Australia.

Sam has worked with elite athletes across rugby, CrossFit, swimming, hockey and cricket, including the Fiji National Rugby Team, Torian Pro CrossFit competitors, national and junior Australian swimmers and hockey players, and Queensland junior cricket (Under 16 & 19 state squads). Why did you become a physio?
I genuinely love fixing people. There's nothing better than watching someone walk out of the clinic feeling better than when they walked in. It never gets old.

What's your worst injury? (Pick one…)
Where do I start? Broken wrist playing soccer. Cut my eye open jumping off a bed into a ceiling fan. Broken nose from a cricket bouncer. Split lip wicketkeeping. Ankle fracture from a bike ride. Head injury — from another bouncer. Yes, I am a physiotherapist. Yes, I am aware of the irony. 🏏🚴♂️

If you had a superpower, what would it be?
To fix everyone — and to give as much as I possibly could to every single person who walks through the door.

What do you say to almost every patient?
"We can fix this, and you will get better. I promise — just give it time."

If not a physio, what would you be?
A lawyer. I love helping people navigate tough situations and fighting in their corner — I think I'd be good at it.

Find you on a Sunday?
At the playground, running behind the kids on the slides. Totally their idea. Definitely not mine.

One thing you wish patients knew before they arrive?
That we are always on their side. Always. No matter what.
