Leigh Heinzelmann
- Senior Physiotherapist
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
- APAM
Leigh completed her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree in 2006 at WITS University in South Africa and moved to Australia with her family in 2019.
With a special interest in treating dancers and conducting pre-pointe assessments, Leigh combines her extensive dance background with her physiotherapy expertise. She has completed numerous courses on dance-specific assessments and managing foot and ankle injuries, equipping her to address the unique demands of dancers. Leigh’s years as a dancer, as well as her experience competing nationally and provincially in rhythmic gymnastics and synchronised swimming, have deeply influenced her approach to physiotherapy.
Leigh also enjoys treating headaches and vertigo, having completed Level 1 training at the Watson Headache® Institute and vestibular rehabilitation training. She is passionate about helping clients of all ages and backgrounds achieve their goals by addressing the root causes of their issues and using a combination of manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation.
Outside of the clinic, Leigh loves spending time with her family, and working in her garden.
